- 2009 Trillium Project Build Team -

Dennis Bushnell - Master Builder

Dennis is one of the most respected custom bike builders in the U.S. He's been building some the lightest weight, high-performance, and exotic bikes for as long as.....well I'll let you figure that out. He was selected to hand-build bicycles for the 1984 U.S. Olympic team . He was also sought out to build the first carbon fiber tandem for Lon Haldeman and Pete Penseyre's record setting ride across the United States back in 1987.

Dennis is also responsible for the innovative Bushnell eccentric bottom bracket design that has become a standard in high-end single speed and tandem bicycles for chain adjustment.

Todd Bertram - Master Builder

Not many builders as young as Todd can be called a Master Builder. Todd's been with our company since 1998. In 2004, Todd was selected to train in the frame shop under Dennis. Since 2004, Todd has built more than 500 frames including tandems and even triples. Not many frame builders have built so many custom bikes.

Todd is our resident Rohloff Speed Hub expert, and is an extremely skilled bicycle mechanic as well as a frame designer.

Teresa McNutt - Master Painter

Teresa has been with the company for over 12 years now. She is the entire paint department. As you can see from any of the bicycles on the Trillium web site, she is very skilled.

As a perfectionist, Teresa is her own worst critic.....in other words, she's exactly the person you want painting your custom bicycle.

Scott Rock - Design

Scott Rock has been in the bicycle industry now for 20 years. He is a formerly retired bike racer, and has in incredible knack for bicycle mechanics. He is the manager of the Repair and Assembly departments, as well as an expert bicycle fitter. He contributed heavily in the design process for the 2007 NEXT-fit™ adjustable bike. He is also the computer programmer who brings order to the programming process for the NEXT-fit™ software.

Scott's talents extend to graphic design of theme bikes as well. Check out the 'Exotic', 'Cyclocross', and 'Ultra-light' bikes for samples of Scott's design ideas.

Dan Towle - Owner, Designer

The ugliest one of the bunch is myself. I've been lucky enough to wind up with a staff that can help me organize and implement my ideas over the last several years. I'm obviously too busy to schedule a hair cut, but most customers don't seem to mind. I've been fixing, painting, designing, selling and fitting bicycles for people as long as I can remember. I've also hacked my way through several computer programs, so I can help out with that aspect of things. I'm blessed to be able to use my skills in an industry that I truly love.

Though most Trillium bikes are a true team effort, some of the Trillium bikes I've designed are 'The Edge' and 'High Voltage'.
